Summer camp is more than just a way to keep your kids busy and safe when school is out. It is a time for kids to explore new interests, learn more about the world in a fun exciting way, and form lasting friendships. Unfortunately, not all kids get to experience the summer camp of their dreams.
Summer camp is something that Shawna Parker, owner of Five Star Painting of Chesapeake, is passionate about. So passionate that she reached out to us at Macaroni KID to create a summer camp scholarship for local children and camps.
Actually, make that TWO scholarships, at $250 each!
The first camp scholarship will be awarded to a family who attends the South Hampton Roads Summer Camp Expo on April 5th. Make sure to stop by the Five Star Painting table to fill out an entry form!
The second scholarship will be awarded to a local camp that has demonstrated a local impact on the community. To nominate a local camp in Hampton Roads for the Local Camp Impact Scholarship, just fill out the short form below. Five Star Painting of Chesapeake and Macaroni KID will work with the winning location to set up an onsite scholarship giveaway.
The deadline to nominate a local camp is April 30th, 2025.
