My Macaroni KID story

I have been a subscriber to Macaroni KID Virginia Beach since 2013, and I absolutely loved that I could find so many local activities to do with my two kids, plus all the other local businesses that I wouldn't have known about otherwise. My favorite Macaroni KID find? Our family photographer, who had placed an ad in the weekly e-newsletter. She was so amazing that we kept booking her for our family's photos for the next 7 years (until her family moved away). 

We have since grown our family to include 3 more children, and now as a family of 7 we are super busy, but we still love to enjoy every moment that we have together.

That's why Macaroni KID is so important to me. I became a publisher because the idea of being the local expert on family fun seemed like killing 3 birds with one stone! I could have tons of fun with my kids, get the inside scoop on local kid-friendly events and businesses, and make some extra money at the same time. The work of a publisher can be tedious and time-consuming, but it is so rewarding, both for my family and my readers.

You might think that because there isn't a huge attraction in Chesapeake, like an aquarium or zoo, that means the city of Chesapeake isn't an awesome, family-friendly, FUN place to raise children. But my mission is to bust that myth!

I take pride in finding new people, places and things in Chesapeake that make this community so wonderful to live in, and sharing them with you. 

By the way, all the family photos I've shared above are not just to show off my family, they are also proof that Chesapeake is a beautiful place. (Many of these photos were taken in Bells Mill Park). Oh and they were also all taken by the same photographer who I found through that ad in a Macaroni KID email newsletter in 2013!
