The Play Spot in Chesapeake is the newest indoor playground to hit the area. My youngest kids and I recently had an opportunity to visit and play, and we had so much fun it was hard to leave! The Play Spot is not like other indoor playgrounds at all. It is breathtakingly unique and speaks to the creative genius of the owners. There is just so much to explore that it can't even be explained all within this article, so I do urge you to plan a visit there yourself!

1. Creative Play Everywhere
The Play Spot in Chesapeake has different stations of play, with distinct themes, all with one thing in common: the power of creativity. Kids can play with dinosaurs, pretend to be a veterinarian, a magician (complete with a book of spells), a singer, a pirate, an astronaut or more. Costumes can be found in each of the stations, to make the experience even more immersive. The Play Spot doesn't shy away from screens, either. One of the most captivating elements of The Play Spot is called ART ALIVE, in which kids can watch their own artwork come to life on a big screen. The theme for our visit was dinosaurs, so my daughter's artwork was a multi-color pterodactyl which she was able to watch as it hatched from an on-screen egg and fly over the other dinosaurs. Themes change from time to time, so you probably won't have the same experience twice!
2. Opportunities To Be Active
The Play Spot in Chesapeake features an ever-changing obstacle course, as well as Ninja Warrior classes. Most kids naturally gravitate to anything physically challenging, such as a rock wall, balance beam, or trampoline. All you have to do is give them the opportunity!
3. Fun For All Ages
Contrary to what your tweens and teens might be thinking, The Play Spot in Chesapeake offers something for everyone. As you enter The Play Spot and venture from the front to the back of the space, the toys and games get gradually bigger and appeal more to older kids. The back is full of "game room" activities like foosball, skeeball, air hockey, basketball, and more. The entire family can truly enjoy some time together while at The Play Spot.
