Haircuts can be a scary thing when you're one or two years old. Luckily there are places like Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in Chesapeake, a salon specializing in giving little ones haircuts that are quick, easy, and done right.
We went to Cookie Cutters in Chesapeake recently -- yes me and all five of my kiddos -- to see what kind of experience they have to offer for little kids who are in desperate need of a haircut! Playground
The first thing you're likely to notice when you first walk in the door is the sweet little playset in the waiting area. We had a little wait before our appointment, so my kids and I hung out in the waiting area. The good news was there was plenty of fun to be had while waiting. The toddler size playset was all the entertainment needed for my little ones.
Fun Chairs
The fun chairs are why I wanted to go to Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids. The children get to choose which chair to sit in while having their hair cut. Shaped like cars, a tractor and even a plane, these tot-sized chairs are perfect for distracting and entertaining your little one. Justin, like many two-year olds, loves cars, so he chose to sit in a race car.
TVs
If that's not enough to keep your child's mind occupied, there is also a TV screen in front of each chair. Your kiddo can choose to watch their favorite movie or show (Justin chose Blippi). The perks do not end there however!
Haircut Time
The skilled stylists know how to cut children's hair with speed and precision. There were no issues with our little guy's haircut: not a tear in sight and his hair came out great! I truly appreciated the patience and skill of our stylist.
Reward Time
Every child leaves with a fresh haircut, a smile and a balloon! Even though I was not expecting it, our stylist offered free balloons to my other kids so that they wouldn't feel left out.
Great Experience
Overall, I had a great experience with my son's haircut, and I loved how my other kids didn't get bored while waiting. The balloons at the end were a great touch, and didn't involve adding any sugar to our kids' diets, which this mom appreciates. I definitely recommend Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in Chesapeake, and we'll be returning!
