Chesapeake is lucky to have so many great parks and playgrounds for kids. My kids have swung, spun, and raced through many of them ... and definitely have their favorites!
Here’s a list of our family’s top five favorite parks and playgrounds in Chesapeake and the reasons we love them:
Park name: Fun Forest

What we love:We love that there is plenty of shade if it's to hot out. We love that we can pack a picnic and easily enjoy an afternoon at this park. There is plenty of things to explore as we find new discoveries every visit!

What we love:This is another great park that you can plan a morning or afternoon adventure. Not only can you play on the playground there is an awesome walking/hiking trail that is about a mile long. What we love: Great Bridge Lock Park is perfect for a canoe ride in the morning with a picnic and playground play in the afternoon! You can easily plan a full days worth at this park. Please see their website for information on reserving the picnic areas.

What we love:This park is a beautiful park. Perfect for walking or meeting up for a play date with friends. You could also turn your visit in to a great History lesson on our Military who gave their lives between WWII and the Gulf War.
