Heartwise Scholars is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting working families who live in the constant tension between school, work, and family life. We exist to provide an alternative educational option that relieves the pressure of keeping up with traditional school bypersonalizing learning around each child’s needs.
Since 2024, Heartwise Scholars has been reimagining education with personalized learning plans for every child, flexible scheduling around family time, and access to a variety of enrichment opportunities during the day. Scholars can explore Spanish, book club, cooking, park visits, library trips, art, music, forest school, and PE, among other experiences—ensuring a balanced, holistic learning environment.
Our approach recognizes that social opportunities flourish when children can connect beyond h6kvirfyififrk academics—through life skills, creative projects, and shared experiences that nurture both confidence and curiosity.
Heartwise Scholars hosts our programming at our learning center in the Orchard Square Shopping Center in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake. We are now enrolling for new scholars in our K–6 homeschool tutoring and enrichment program for the upcoming school year, as well as our summer enrichment program from June 29-August 6th. Families seeking a flexible, personalized, and community-oriented learning experience are encouraged to learn more and join our growing Heartwise community.
