Hero Kids Foundation is hosting GLOBE Goes to Camp, an initiative of NASA, for the second year in a row! This camp, led by GLOBE Director of Programs, Tina Harte, provides campers of all ages with STEM-based learning adventures from our center in Suffolk, Virginia.

June 10-14
Water Connects Us All
Taking a look at water quality, how watersheds connect us all, and macroinvertebrates as indicators of water quality. Join for a week full of water fun!!

Tree Habitats
Explorations Above and Below: taking a look at tree health, the ecosystem provided by trees, and the organisms that rely on trees. Learn the role that trees play in all of our lives!!

GLOBE Takes Flight
A look at remote sensing, how NASA explores Earth from above, and how we can be part of NASA by collecting ground-based observations. We will build a kite, fly a drone, and launch a rocket; come join the fun!!

Pollinators and Me
Exploring the different types of pollinators in our area, the types of plants that provide a food source for our pollinators, and what we can do to protect the habitats of our pollinators. Learn what the buzz is all about!!

Nature Explorations 
Young explorers explore soil, clouds, trees, water, and pollinators through activities igniting curiosity.

$100 Due on registration, $300 balance due 3 weeks before your chosen camp
